ASTRO UX
DESIGN SYSTEM | U.S. Space Force
Created in a first-of-its-kind partnership with the US Space Force, Astro is a publicly available enterprise design system. Designed specifically for mission-critical government UX applications, Astro offers a complete toolkit for designing and developing consistent, user-centered interfaces across space-based defense systems.
Astro is the only publicly available, open-source UX Design System for enterprise applications used in the operation, monitoring and maintenance of space vehicles.
Currently used across multiple programs in US Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC), Astro enables enterprise UX standardizations by reducing training time, accelerating development, and breaking down siloed legacy systems. It brings clarity, consistency, and efficiency to high-stakes environments where seamless operator interaction can directly impact mission outcomes.
